Forest City | Boston is committed to creating projects that help build communities and enhance our corporate citizenship. In developing the University Park campus, we worked closely with neighborhood residents and Cambridge's civic leadership to create a paradigmatic plan that addressed mixed-income housing, urban design and open space, zoning and infrastructure, and traffic mitigation. University Park contributes significantly to local economic development by facilitating 4,000 jobs and increasing the Cambridge tax base by more than $10 million. In addition, Forest City employees add to the quality of life in the city through charitable contributions, a partnership program with the neighborhood elementary school, and volunteer service on the boards of more than a dozen nonprofit social services agencies.
