Ashton Mill is located on the scenic Blackstone River in Cumberland, RI, 15 minutes north of Providence. Originally constructed in 1867 by the Londsdale Company, this former cotton mill was spun into lofts with stunning views of the river and adjoining wooded parkland. Forest City's historic preservation and adaptive re-use of Ashton Mill included the creation of 193 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The adjoining Blackstone River State Park and a new bikeway encourages use of the surrounding resources by residents and visitors alike.
